Redhead beach is located at Lake Macquarie close to Newcastle in the state of New South Wales, Australia. The beach has a surf club and a kiosk and restaurant.
The cliffs are striking and the beach itself has amazing sand and surf. A prominent feature is an elevated lookout chair that was used from around the 1920’s to spot sharks and warn beachgoers.
They have plenty of parking, which is free, and the beach is patrolled. Many people come and fish at dusk and night time.
The water at all the beaches in Lake Macquarie is crystal clear and free from pollution. There is more than enough room for you to enjoy the beach even at its busiest. I have a short stroll from the clubhouse to the edge of the water in 360° Video.
